Web6 nov. 2014 · Here is the so-called “Pythagorean” formula for baseball: EXP (W%) = (RS)2 / [ (RS)2 + (RA)2] EXP (W%) is the expected winning percentage generated by the formula, RS is runs scored by a team, and RA is runs allowed by a team. It is understood that (RS) 2 / [ (RS) 2 + (RA) 2] is actually a ratio and needs to be multiplied by 100 to be a percentage.
