Fixing a shower tray on floorboards
WebJan 13, 2009 · Scrumpet New Member. My builder has fitted a JT40 shower tray (www.jt40.co.uk)which I believe is a stone capped resin tray. The installation instructions say that the tray should sit on a weak mix of sand and cement. When I asked the builder if he did this he said that he held it in place with "pink stuff" a kind of fix it all glue. WebMay 7, 2012 · As the shower tray will be mounted at floor level the waste will have to travel parallel with the joists for about 2 1/2 metres and across them for about 2 meters. How can I get the pipe across the joists without cutting them and hence reducing their strength?
